Amman, July 21 (Petra) -- An official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army said that national air defense systems intercepted and downed three Iranian missiles targeting Jordanian territory on Tuesday afternoon.

The source confirmed that the interception operation resulted in no casualties or material damage, adding that Royal Engineering Corps teams handled the fallen debris across several locations in accordance with established procedures.

The source added that the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army continues to monitor Jordanian airspace and maintains a high level of readiness to address any threat that could affect the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
